Jud Keim joins the Lewis & Clark coaching staff in the fall of 2024 after working for fellow Northwest Conference school Pacific Lutheran University for the past two decades. He will primarily work with the team’s defensive backs. 
 
Keim comes to Lewis & Clark with more than 30 years of coaching experience. He began his career with stints at Bothell High School and Kamiak High School before starting his collegiate coaching career at DII Minnesota State Mankato in 1994-95. He started working in Division III in 1996 when he took a position as the Defensive Backs coach and eventually the Defensive Coordinator at Cal Lutheran University (1996-2000). Keim spent four seasons as a Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at Gustavus Adolphus University in Minnesota from 2000-2003. 
 
He returned to his alma mater, Pacific Lutheran University, prior to the 2004 season and spent the next 20 seasons with the Lutes. During his time in Tacoma, Keim served a variety of roles including Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Interim Head Coach, Run Game Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator and Travel Coordinator. He helped Pacific Lutheran earn trips to the NCAA DIII Tournament in 2012 and 2013 and the Lutes finished in the top-four of the NWC standings in 14 of his 20 seasons. The Lutes consistently ranked as one of the top defenses in Division III in sacks, tackles for loss and turnovers created during his tenure. 
 
Keim put together a fantastic playing career at Pacific Lutheran. He was a four-year letter winner in both football and track & field and was named an All-Conference running back two times. The Lutes made it to the NAIA National Championship Game in his sophomore (1983) and senior seasons (1985). He earned his bachelor's degree from PLU in 1986 and a master's degree in Athletic Administration from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 1999.
