Forrest Sherman

Forrest Sherman is in his second season with the Pioneers after joining his alma mater’s coaching staff in 2020. Entering the 2021 season, Sherman was hired full-time and named the pass defense coordinator.

Sherman, a member of the 1989 and 1991 Lewis & Clark Hall of Fame football teams, was added to the Pios staff after a year as head coach at Lakeridge HS in nearby Lake Oswego, Ore. Prior to his head coaching role, he was with the Pacers for two seasons as defensive coordinator following eight seasons at Lake Oswego HS where he coached defensive backs.

He has also coached at other Portland-area high schools including Central Catholic HS and Lincoln HS, the latter at which he was defensive coordinator.

As a Lewis & Clark defensive back, he played for Tom Smythe, who later was head coach of the Lakeridge HS football program.

Outside of coaching, Sherman has worked in sports performance including time at Nike.
