Why Lewis & Clark?: I chose Lewis & Clark because I feel like I will have such a tremendous opportunity to grow both as a student and an athlete. First, the science program is very great, and I want to have a good foundation in science before I begin studying engineering. I also connected with the baseball coaching staff very well, and I think they will get the most out of me. Finally, I like its proximity to Portland as there are many off-campus social opportunities, and I will still be able to feel the small-school experience as well. Another major selling point for me was that there are two upperclassmen on the baseball team who are also alums from my high school, so I will be able to learn from their experience too.
