PORTLAND, Ore.— Ten Lewis & Clark College rowers earned national scholar-athlete honors last week, with eight members of the WSquad named to the 2025 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete Team on Tuesday and two members of the men's team selected as 2025 Empacher-Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday.
To qualify, student-athletes must meet both academic and athletic requirements. They must be in at least their second year of eligibility and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. For WSquad team members, athletes must have competed in their institution's NCAA-eligible boats for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or rowed in an NCAA boat at their conference or NCAA championship. Men's team members must have raced in one of their program's top three boats during the season or competed at the 2025 IRA Championship.
