Madison Scroggins contributed three hits on the day, including a two-RBI double in the second game, and swiped two bases during the opener. Fellow junior
Emily Patton added three hits of her own, including a triple, and crossed the plate twice.
In the circle,

Charlize Pope picked up the victory in Game 2, with O'Leary returning in the seventh to close out the game two and earn her third save of the season.
GAME ONE RECAP
Â
Ozuna wasted no time getting the Pioneers on the board, launching a solo home run to right-center in the bottom of the first inning. Later in the frame, Alvarez laid down a sacrifice bunt to bring home Scroggins and give Lewis & Clark a 2-0 lead.
Â
The Pioneers extended their advantage in the third when sophomore
Makena Dahir singled to third base, scoring senior
Sam Gildersleeve, who had walked earlier and stolen second.
Â
Lewis & Clark added two more runs in the fourth. Senior
Katie Ingersoll led off with a bunt single and moved to second on Patton's bunt single. After Ozuna grounded out, Scroggins delivered an RBI single to right to score Ingersoll. Junior
Lacey Marglin followed with another RBI single, bringing home Patton to make it 5-0.
Â
The Pioneers capped the scoring in the fifth when junior
Megan Yanagi doubled with two outs and scored on junior
Cami Restagno's single through the right side.
Â
O'Leary was dominant in the circle, scattering four hits over seven innings while striking out four and walking just one. The Loggers' best chance came in the first inning, when Kaya Tanimura doubled and advanced to third on a passed ball, but O'Leary struck out Alyssa Dail to end the threat.
Â
The junior right-hander improved to 14-5 with the shutout, facing just 26 batters in the 93-minute contest.

GAME TWO RECAP
Â
Puget Sound struck first in the second game, taking a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Megan Johnson doubled and later scored on a passed ball.

The Pioneers answered in the third. After Marglin singled and Gildersleeve walked, Alvarez crushed a three-run home run to left-center to put Lewis & Clark ahead 3-1.
Â
Lewis & Clark tacked on three more runs in the fourth to break the game open. Patton singled and Ozuna walked before Scroggins ripped a double to right-center, scoring both runners. Scroggins advanced to third on the throw and came home on Marglin's sacrifice bunt for a 6-1 lead.
Â
The Loggers tried to rally in the sixth. Tanimura singled and scored on Dail's double to right. After Johnson walked, Alyssa Figueroa hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Dail and cutting the deficit to 6-3.
