Kacie Lau forced a third set in her sixth singles match, but two-time defending Northwest Conference champion Whitman College earned a 7-0 win on Sunday at the Whitman Tennis Courts.

The Pioneers faced a tough challenge in doubles play, with the Blues securing the team point after sweeping all three matches. In the third doubles match, Whitman's Ilina Jha and Sascha Wells defeated sophomore

Seniors
Hayley Kreps and Lau fell 6-3 to Nana Vang and Arianna Castellanos at No. 2 doubles. The Blues completed the sweep when junior

Charlotte Makoni dropped a 6-3 decision to Jin Yu and Teleya Blunt in the first flight.
In singles action, Whitman maintained its momentum. Makoni fell 6-0, 6-1 at second singles to Vang. Senior
Allison Gabelman made her NWC season debut at No. 5 singles, where she lost 6-3, 6-1 to Wells.
Kreps took on Castellanos in the fourth singles flight, winning three games in the second set after dropping the first 6-1. Yu then defeated Curry 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, giving Whitman a 5-0 lead.
The most competitive singles match came at number six, where Lau forced a third set against Erica Mock before ultimately falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. In the final match of the day, Blunt defeated Anand 7-5, 6-1 at first singles after nearly two hours of play.

- The Pioneers played two exhibition doubles matches. Sophomore Emma Loucks and senior Lauren Smith-Euben fell 6-1 to Piper Rylander and Juliene Thompson, while first-year Elle Garcia and senior Soraya Young-Pen lost 6-2 to Bailey Bell and Kaylah Tan.
- Young-Pen earned an 8-3 singles exhibition win over Catherine Nihira.
- Smith-Euben faced Bell in an 8-3 exhibition loss.
- First-year Anna English defeated Tan 8-2 in the third singles exhibition match of the day.
