Elise Barton and sophomore
Angie Cummings combined to post five All-Conference performances, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.Â

Both swimmers earned multiple All-Conference honors and were named to the NWC All-Conference Team for the first times in their careers. Women's swimming's five total All-Conference honors are the program's most since the Pioneers notched six All-Conference plaudits in 2020.Â

Barton became the first Lewis & Clark swimmer to earn All-Conference accolades in all three individual events since the 2023 NWC Championship Meet. The junior finished in the top-seven in the 50, 100 and 200 Free to earn NWC Second Team honors in all three events. She racked up 39 points to lead all Lewis & Clark women's swimmers.Â

Barton garnered her first career All-Conference honor in the 50 Free. She placed seventh in the prelims on Friday morning with a time of 24.66. She came back and finished fifth overall in the A Final, when she touched the wall in 24.46. The junior added her second award of the weekend with a seventh-place finish in the 200 Free. Barton qualified sixth overall in the event with a time of 1:58.72. She registered a career-best time of 1:58.05 in the Finals to finish seventh. Barton came back on Sunday and notched her third All-Conference award. She took sixth in the prelims of the 100 Free with a career-best time of 53.85. Barton followed that up with a sixth-place finish in the Finals (54.00). She was also a member of the 400 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay teams that posted the fifth and 10
th-fastest times in program history. The Colorado native will enter her senior season ranked seventh in program history in the 50 and 200 Free and eighth in the 100 Free.Â

Cummings picked up the first two All-Conference awards of her career in her first NWC Championship Meet. The sophomore posted 29 points by earning All-Conference honors in the 100 and 200 Backstroke. She placed sixth in prelims for the 100 Backstroke on Saturday with a time of 1:00.09. Cummings came in fifth place in the A Final with a PR time of 59.71. The sophomore posted the highest-finish of anyone on the team in the 200 Backstroke. She qualified third overall in the morning session when she touched the wall in 2:10.50. Cummings improved her PR time with a mark of 2:10.32 to finish in fourth place.Â

She swam on four relays (200 and 400 Medley, 400 and 800 Free) at her first NWC Championship Meet – three of which posted top-10 marks in program history. Cummings wraps up her first collegiate season ranked fourth in program history in both the 100 and 200 Backstroke.Â
