PORTLAND, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College men's basketball celebrated Senior Night on Saturday, honoring eight seniors—Isaac Ticeson, Mikey Medlock Jr., Sam Henderson, Griffin Datcher IV, Ryan Trunkett, Nik Berry, Nate Berg, and Sebastian DePrez—before closing out the regular season with an 80-67 loss to Pacific Lutheran University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Junior Andre Treadwell led the Pioneers with a career-high 21 points, including four three-pointers, while Medlock Jr. added 14 points. Berry posted a career-best 12 points, shooting 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.

After falling behind 5-0 early, Datcher IV (eight points, six rebounds) assisted Berry on back-to-back three-pointers, bringing Lewis & Clark within 7-6 three minutes into the game. Two minutes later, Datcher IV set up Berg (three points, six rebounds) and Berry for additional threes, and Ticeson (three points, four rebounds) connected with Medlock Jr. from long range. The Pioneers hit their first five three-pointers and took a 15-11 lead.

Datcher IV and Berry linked up once more at the 12:01 mark, giving Berry his career-high fourth three-pointer and Datcher IV his game-high fifth assist as Lewis & Clark went up 20-17. The Pioneers maintained a narrow lead throughout the first half, with Treadwell's three-pointer at 1:40 pushing the advantage to 36-32. However, Pacific Lutheran closed the gap before the break, making it 38-36 Pioneers at halftime.

The Lutes wasted no time in the second half, tying the game at 38-all on their first possession. The teams traded baskets until Pacific Lutheran used a 7-0 run from 14:40 to 13:32 to take a 54-46 lead. Treadwell kept Lewis & Clark in striking distance with three second-half three-pointers, including one that trimmed the deficit to 61-57 with 8:06 remaining.

From there, the Lutes seized control, outscoring the Pioneers 19-10 in the final eight minutes. Lewis & Clark endured a three-minute scoring drought and went without a field goal for nearly six minutes, allowing Pacific Lutheran to pull away for the victory.
