FOREST GROVE, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College men's basketball team used a dominant second-half performance to secure a 76-62 Northwest Conference road victory and complete a season sweep of Pacific University at the Stoller Center on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pioneers had four players score in double figures, led by senior
Mikey Medlock Jr., who finished with 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Junior
Andre Treadwell recorded his second career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while senior
Sebastian DePrez posted his fourth collegiate double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Junior
Kody Uyesugi rounded out the double-digit scorers, contributing 10 points on 2-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc.
Pacific jumped out to an early lead and held the advantage for the first nine and a half minutes, though never by more than four points. The Pioneers tied the score three times before taking their first lead. A three-pointer from Medlock Jr., followed by a pair of free throws and a trey from Treadwell, turned a four-point deficit into a four-point lead at the midway mark of the first half.
Lewis & Clark extended its lead to a first-half high of seven points (28-21) after senior
Nate Berg, who finished with eight rebounds and a block, sank both of his free throws. The Boxers responded with a 7-0 run to tie the game at 28-all with 2:27 left in the half. The Pioneers regained control with an 8-2 run, capped by first-year
Jake Rodriguez's three-point play, to take a 36-30 lead into the break.
Lewis & Clark came out strong in the second half, quickly extending its lead to 42-30 on Rodriguez's floating jumper at the 17:02 mark. Pacific stayed within reach, cutting the deficit to 45-41 after back-to-back three-pointers with 13:15 remaining. However, the Pioneers responded each time the Boxers threatened, as Uyesugi's three-pointer pushed the lead back to 61-48 with 6:03 left. Sam Henderson (nine points) drilled a three-pointer and the Pios made six of their final eight free throws.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pioneers dominated the glass, out rebounding Pacific 49-26.
- Medlock Jr. scored 17 points against the Boxers for the second time this season. He also reached the 1,000-point career milestone against Pacific on January 4.
- Lewis & Clark recorded a season-low 11 fouls, with only three called against them in the second half.
- The Pioneers swept Pacific for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
