Lewis & Clark posted season-highs in field goal, 3-point and free throw percentage and outscored Pacific University 48-29 in the second half to earn a win in their 2025 opener. As a team, the Pioneers shot a staggering 59.6 percent from the field, 64.3 percent (9-14) from distance and hit 17 of their 18 free throw attempts (94.4 percent).Ā

Medlock Jr., who spent his first two collegiate seasons at Peninsula College, reached 1,000 points for his career on his final basket of the day. The senior guard stepped in front of a Boxers pass near midcourt and dribbled in all alone, before delivering a left-hand dunk with 2:57 to play for career points number 999 and 1,000. He finished the contest with 17 points on 6-11 shooting, including 4-6 from deep. He tacked on two assists, one rebound and one steal in 24 minutes of action.Ā

Andre Treadwell (12 points),
Kody Uyesugi (11 points) and
Griffin Datcher IV (10 points) all joined Medlock Jr. in double-figures. Nine different Pioneers finished with six or more points in the win.
Justin White (nine points) and
Nate Berg (seven points and two blocked) each pulled down five rebounds and
Taien Jackson (eight points) led the team with four assists.Ā

After falling behind 3-0 on the opening possession of the game, Lewis & Clark went on a 7-0 run and would never trail again. Berg and Jackson each connected on shots to make it 4-3 Lewis & Clark and Treadwell canned a 3-pointer to push the lead to 7-3 with 15:35 to play in the first half.Ā

Lewis & Clark would extend their advantage to a dozen just shy of the midway point of the half on back-to-back threes from Medlock Jr. and Uysegui (20-8). The Pioneers would lead by as many as 13 late in the half, before Pacific closed on a 8-2 run to close the gap to 40-33 at the break.Ā

The Pioneers would put the game out of reach early in the second half. With the hosts leading 46-36 with 16:53 to play, Lewis & Clark would score 12-straight points to open up a 58-36 lead with 12:58 left. Berg and Medlock Jr. each knocked down threes and Datcher IV, Treadwell and

- Medlock Jr. is the 39thĀ player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. He scored 596 points at Peninsula College and now has 404 points in two seasons at Lewis & Clark. He is the fourth-consecutive Pioneer to reach 1,000 career points in a home game (Brenden Patrick ('23), Zeke Crawford ('20) and Jason Luhnow ('16)).Ā
- Lewis & Clark held a 42-22 advantage in points in the paint, a 16-8 edge in second-chance points and a 49-23 lead in bench points.Ā
- The Pioneers posted their highest field goal percentage in a game in over two years. Lewis & Clark last shot 59.6 percent or higher on December 2, 2022, when they earned a 105-85 win over Willamette by shooting 62.3 percent.Ā
- In two conference games this season, Lewis & Clark has outscored Willamette and Pacific by a combined 164-117 (+47).Ā
- After the first full weekend of NWC play, Lewis & Clark and Whitman College are the lone two undefeated teams left in conference play at 2-0.Ā Ā
