SALEM, Ore. –Lewis & Clark College women's tennis continued their domination over Willamette University with their 15
th consecutive win over the Northwest Conference foe, an 8-1 non-conference victory on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pioneers led 2-1 after doubles play and marched through all six singles matches without dropping a set, with freshmen
Emma Loucks,
Charlotte Makoni, and junior
Hayley Kreps leading the charge with two wins each.
Kreps and Makoni had the easiest time in doubles, taking the third flight 8-1 over Eva Lief and Alicia Sola.

Kacie Lau earned Lewis & Clark's second win with an 8-5 victory at number two doubles over Alexa Crinis and Ruby Thompson.
The number one doubles match was the most competitive of the day, as it needed to be decided in a tiebreaker. Sophomore
Susanna Anand and senior
Seraphina Vossen fell 8-7 (8-6) to Anika Groener and Richelle Suzuki.
Anand bounced back in the first singles match, winning 6-0, 6-2 over Crinis.
Vossen and Groener played for the second time on Saturday in the second singles flight. Vossen emerged with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
Loucks took the first set 6-3 over Suzuki before only dropping one game in the second set, winning 6-1 at number three singles.
Arielle Bloom took on Lief in the fourth flight. The senior grabbed a 6-4, 6-2 straight-sets win.
Kreps had the most convincing singles win of the day at number five singles, delivering a bagel and a breadstick to Sola in a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Makoni earned her second win of the day, a 6-2, 6-1 win over Thompson at the six-spot.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Anand won her 14th singles match of the season, the most by a Pioneer since Kacey Incerpi (14-2) in 2018. Anand's nine wins at number one singles are the most in that flight since Wiktoria Plawska went 9-5 in 2017.
- Kreps has defeated three different Bearcats in singles play this season and has moved to 5-0 in her career, winning all matches in straight sets.
- Bloom moved to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in singles play during her four-year career against Willamette.
- The doubles teams of Kreps/Makoni and Lau/Loucks both earned their second win of the season.
