HOW IT HAPPENED
Ā
Playing their first games in two weekends, Lewis & Clark needed to wait a little longer as they sat through a near two-hour rain delay before game one. The Pioneers needed a few innings to get the offense started in game one and their comeback fell just short. Lewis & Clark would carry over the momentum from the contest into game two as they scored six early runs and six runs late - to tie their season-high with 12 runs scored.Ā
Ā
Senior
Sam Gildersleeve and sophomore
Madison Scroggins each finished with two hits in both games. Gildersleeve added five runs scored and two walks and Scroggins tacked on three runs scored, two RBI and a free pass.
Mari Alvarez,
Harper Campanella and
Emily Patton all finished with three or more RBI in the nightcap.Ā
