KIRKLAND, Wash. – Lewis & Clark College women's basketball built a nine-point halftime lead, but Northwest University used a dominant third quarter to secure a 75-63 victory on Tuesday night at NU Pavilion.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pioneers controlled the first half behind sharp shooting from
Madilyn Palosi, who connected on four three-pointers. Lewis & Clark took an early 4-0 lead on baskets by
Lauryn Frederickson and
Tatiana Rebanal before building their largest advantage of 11 points late in the second quarter.
Frederickson dominated the glass throughout, pulling down a game-high 16 rebounds to go with 15 points for her third double-double of the season. The sophomore forward shot 6-of-13 from the field and grabbed four offensive rebounds.
Palosi scored a career-high 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting, including 5-of-14 from three-point range. The sophomore guard's hot shooting helped Lewis & Clark take a 37-28 lead into halftime.
The game turned in the third quarter as Northwest outscored the Pioneers 31-6. Frederickson made the first basket 18 seconds after the break, and the Pioneers would not score for four minutes until first-year
Isabella Bernard hit a layup. Bernard's basket made it 41-38, Pios and ended a 9-2 Eagles run. Sophomore
DJ Kendrick gave the Pioneers their final lead, 43-41, at the midway point in the quarter after Northwest tied the game. Lewis & Clark struggled with turnovers during the decisive period while Northwest caught fire from outside, hit five three-pointers, and went on an 18-0 run over the final five minutes.
Kendrick provided solid play with six points and six rebounds, while junior guard, Rebanal added seven points and three assists. First-year
Kaitlen Carns contributed nine points and three rebounds while going 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.
The Pioneers fought back in the fourth quarter behind Frederickson, who scored nine points in the final frame including a three-pointer. Lewis & Clark cut the deficit to 12 points multiple times but couldn't get closer.
Northwest's balanced attack saw five players score in double figures, led by Kimberly Carrada and Kaleah Medeiros, who each scored 17 points, tying Palosi's game-high.
