HOW IT HAPPENED

Juniors Delaney Jones and Anna Ingadottir combined for seven of Lewis & Clark's saves against Whitman. Jones stopped five Blues' attempts in the first half, including two in the opening 15 minutes to keep the Pioneers in the game early.

Whitman's Ella Johnson opened the scoring at 21:38, assisted by Ellie Cortes-Muniz. Kiki Glorioso doubled the Blues' lead at 35:30, with Molly Beaulieu providing the assist.

Junior Carli Driskill provided the Pioneers their best scoring chance in the first half as she booted the ball from the top of the box to the lower near post, but Whitman's Lindsey Pasena-Littlesky was there for the stop.

Jones recorded two more saves before the half to prevent the Blues from extending their lead.

In the second half, Whitman scored four goals in 15 minutes to take control of the game. Ingadottir, playing in her first game back from injury, recorded saves in the 65th and 81st minutes.

Senior Abby Hayes and first-year Sophia Gill had the best scoring chances in the second half. Whitman's second-half keeper, Seaneee Still, stopped Hayes's attempt from the top of the box in the 60th minute and Gill's kick in the 88th minute.
