PORTLAND, Ore. –Lewis & Clark College men's soccer hosted Northwest Conference-leading Pacific Lutheran University for the first time since elevating to varsity status, and the visitors left Griswold Stadium with a 5-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman
Micaiah Garan earned his first NWC start in net for the Pioneers and faced a career-high 25 shots from the Lutes offense. The keeper recorded five saves, all in the second half, when Pacific Lutheran fired 17 shots toward the net. The Lewis & Clark defense helped Garan with six blocks through out the game.
The Lutes scored their first goal at 5:21 in the first half. Their final two goals of the game came less than two minutes apart in the 66
th and 68
th minutes.
Freshman
Dylan Weinstein kicked the ball wide right in the 41
st minute of the game, while classmate
Nathaniel Pi-Sunyer had his attempt blocked in the 71
st minute.

- Heading into today's game, Garan had faced 28 total shots, he is now second on the team with 53 shots faced and 16 saves.
- Pi-Sunyer leads the team with nines shots in eight games.
