HOW IT HAPPENED

Ehlers and Kane played their final match in the Orange and Black of Lewis & Clark College. Ehlers had two blocks against the Loggers to finish her career with 156 total blocks. She led the team with 50 total blocks this season, which she has done in three of her four seasons as a Pio. Ehlers led the NWC in blocks per set as a freshman. Kane dished out 23 assists, had eight digs, and a block assist in the match. Her senior season has been full of career highs. She recorded those highs in matches against Pacific (eight kills), Whitman (two solo blocks), and Linfield (45 assists, 13 digs, and three aces).Â

Lewis & Clark was paced by sophomore
Debi Chun and junior
Izzy Willis against Puget Sound with ten and eight kills, respectively. Chun also had the only solo block of the match for the Pios. Sophomore
Emily Strand had four kills, hit a team-high .273 from the floor, and had three block assists.
Annika Traxler added three kills in the match. The sophomore also had two block assists. Freshman
Ellie Weber entered the match in set two and registered a kill to start a 3-0 Pio run late in the set. Junior
Katie Shimaura and sophomore
Bethany Ballesteros each had 13 digs on the night.Â

BY THE NUMBERS
- Kane averaged 6.28 assists per set this season to finish in eighth place in the conference for assists.Â
- Ehlers is seventh among active players in the conference for blocks per set in their career.Â
- Shimaura's 4.86 digs per set is the fourth-best in the conference this year. She led the team with 335 digs in 2022 and has 661 career digs. Â
- Willis led the team with 157 kills this season and has 444 for her career.Â
- Chun posted a team-high 2.60 kills per set this year.Â
