Sophomore Taen Jackson tied his career highs in points (15), assists (4), and steals (2) in the first game of the Lewis & Clark Thanksgiving Classic against UC Santa Cruz on Saturday. Jackson has stepped into the starting point guard position after an injury to Nikko Echalas early this season and led the team to a 1-1 record during the tournament. He finished the game against the Banana Slugs third on the team with six rebounds. On Sunday, Jackson scored 12 points with four assists and four rebounds. He shot 47.8 % (11-23) on the weekend and a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe.
