This past weekend, Brayden Nomura was instrumental in Pioneer Baseball’s NWC Tournament Championship run.  The senior right-hander pitched the final two innings in the first-round game against Willamette on Friday afternoon, a 10-4 win. Nomura gave up three hits and struck out one to help the Pios advance in the winner's bracket. Nomura started the first championship game against Pacific with only a day's rest. He had two season highs in the start (5.1 innings and 94 pitches), giving up seven hits and three runs while striking out three Boxers in the 6-4 Pioneers win to force the second championship game.
