Junior Quinn Higgins was the top NCAA Division III finisher at the Lewis & Clark Opener for men’s cross country, placing seventh overall in a 135-man field with a time of 15:31.06. Higgins crossed the line behind five runners from NCAA Division I Boise State and one from the University of Portland, while finishing more than 24 seconds ahead of George Fox’s top runner. As a team, Lewis & Clark placed second among NCAA DIII/NWC programs, just 19 points back of preseason favorite George Fox.
