Michael Preston joins the Lewis & Clark football coaching staff in the Spring of 2025. He will work with the team’s tight ends, as well as serving as the travel coordinator and the the co-run game coordinator.
Preston comes to Palatine Hill with a wealth of experience at the collegiate and professional level.
Most recently, he served as the offensive line coach with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He spent two seasons with the Argonauts in 2015 and 2016.
Preston has spent time at eighth different collegiate institutions including the University of Washington, Yale University, Lindenwood University and Portland State University. He served as the offensive coordinator at the University of La Verne (2005-07) and the run game coordinator at Yale (2009-11) and Lindenwood (2012-13). He served as the lead tight ends coach at Wingate University (2008) and Portland State University (2014).
His coaching career began at Washington from 1997-2000 where he was the offensive assistant and offensive line coach. At Washington, he was a part of the program which won the 2001 Rose Bowl.
Preston played collegiately at the University of Puget Sound from 1991-93. He received a degree in Sociology from Washington in 2005.
