Lewis & Clark College

Delsie Johnson

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Lewis & Clark women’s basketball alum Delsie Johnson has returned to the program as a member of the coaching staff ahead of the 2025-26 season. A standout for the Pioneers during their playing career, Johnson brings a wealth of experience, leadership and perspective to the sidelines.

Johnson was a three-year starter for the Pioneers, earning Northwest Conference Freshman of the Year honors in 2018-19 and capping their career as a First Team All-NWC selection in 2021-22. They also collected Lewis & Clark Female Athlete of the Year and Female Scholar Athlete of the Year recognition during their senior season. Over their career, Johnson consistently ranked among the NWC’s top rebounders and scorers, finishing as high as second in rebounding and fourth in scoring in single seasons.

Away from the court, Johnson graduated from Lewis & Clark with a double major in mathematics and biology. They have continued to develop their coaching skills with Laker Youth Basketball, serving as an assistant coach for the Lake Oswego eighth grade girls team since 2023. In that role, they focused on skill development, competitive readiness and preparing players for success at the high school level.

Johnson’s return to Lewis & Clark marks a full-circle moment, bringing back one of the program’s most decorated student-athletes to mentor and inspire the next generation of Pioneers.
