Does it matter when I donate?
Under the new benefits, your donation will last for a full year
from the date the gift is received. For example, if you donate in
the spring at a Varsity Club membership level, you will receive
football tickets for the following fall.
What are the benefits of being a PAC
Member?
Becoming a member of the Pioneer Athletics Club awards you a
variety of benefits based on the level of giving. To see the full

Where Will My Contributions Go?
- All gifts to Athletics are used to support our teams and
programs. Special needs vary from year to year, but the primary
areas supported by Pioneer Athletics Club include:
- Enhance funds for the recruitment of quality
student-athletes
- Offset annual operating expenses for each team
- Provide building enhancements to Pamplin Sports Center and
other sports facilities
- Create opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of our
student-athletes
- Subsidize special team travel not covered by the sport's
budget
Can I Support A Specific Team or Program?
Yes!
What good are my PAC benefits if I give to PAC in the
middle of, or at the end of a school year?
With our revised benefits packages, all PAC benefits are good
for one year from the date of the gift regardless of when during
the year they are given. For example, if you donate $500 to the
football team in December, which is after football season has
ended, the 2 complimentary football tickets that you receive with
your donation will be good for the following football season.
What happens with my benefits if I give more than once
in a given academic year?
Your giving level is calculated based on your aggregate donation
in a given academic year. For example, if you donate $500 in August
you would be at the “Coaches Club” benefits
status and be entitled to all of the benefits therein. If you
then donated another $500 in January, you would be upgraded to
“Golden Pioneer” for 1 year from the date of that
donation.
What if I pledge to donate multiple times through a
pledge?
If you give your gift was in the form of a pledge, wherein you
pledge to donate a given amount over the course of the academic
year, you would receive your giving level status immediately upon
receipt of your first pledge donation. For example, if you
pledge to give $1,200 at $100 per month for 12 months, you
would receive the benefits associated with the “Golden
Pioneer” status upon your donation of the first $100.
