However, Linfield claimed the doubles point and an early lead by winning the other two doubles matches. Wildcats' top duo Emma Tuttle and Kaitlynn Canubida defeated junior Susanna Anand and sophomore Maya Curry 6-2 in the first doubles match, while sophomore Charlotte Makoni and first-year Taylor Stadjuhar lost 6-3 to Sam Baltz and Emily Redwood in the second.

Canubida added Linfield's second point with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Curry in the second singles match. The momentum shifted when Anand defeated Tuttle 6-0, 6-3 in the top singles spot, and senior Hayley Kreps tied the dual with a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the fourth singles match.

Makoni gave the Pioneers the lead with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Baltz in the third singles match. Smith-Euben secured the fourth team point with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win over Cano in the sixth singles match. In the final match, Stadjuhar earned her first collegiate win in the fifth singles slot over King, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6).
