Freshman Christi San Diego set a new Lewis & Clark volleyball program record with 11 block assists in a match on Friday night’s thrilling 3-2 Northwest Conference victory over Pacific. San Diego finished the match with 12 total blocks for a new career-high. The previous record for block assists in a match was eight, held by eight different Pioneers that accomplished the feat in ten matches since Kimberly Kilgore first set the mark on September 29, 1994. San Diego was also one of five Pioneers that set the new program team record for block assists in a match with 32 against the Boxers. That broke a 33-year old record of 29 that was set September 18, 1990 against Pacific.
