Junior Annika Traxler recorded two career bests and knocked down 49 kills over four matches this weekend to help volleyball go 3-1 at the Oregon Trail Classic tournament. 

Transitioning to a new position on the court this season, the outside hitter hit a career-high and team-season-high .632 percent in the weekend’s first match against West Coast Baptist, with 13 kills on 19 attempts and no errors. Her previous best was a .417 percent (6-1-12) at Willamette last season. Traxler also had nine digs and three aces in the win. 

Traxler recorded her second career-high on Saturday against McMurry with 16 kills against the Warhawks. After not reaching double-digit kills in 29 matches in her first two seasons, she has not accomplished the feat five times. She has 78 kills this season, equalling her total number of kills in 21 matches last year.
