Senior quarterback Cruz Montana threw for a career-high 352 yards and is now tied for 24th in program history for passing yards in a single game. Cruz bested his previous career high by 25 yards (327 yards vs. Puget Sound, October 23, 2021). He threw for at least 58 yards in all four quarters and accounted for all five Pioneer touchdowns, four passing, and one rushing, which tied his career-best from October 15, 2022, versus Willamette. Cruz’s 352 yards against Puget Sound on Saturday are the most yards thrown by a Lewis & Clark quarterback since 2019, when Caden Voges threw for 408 yards against Whitworth.

Cruz also rushed for 19 yards against the Loggers for 371 total yards. After Saturday’s game, he moved into sixth all-time in total offensive yards with 4,716 yards, passing AJ Brown (4,530 yards, 2005-08) and Skip Swyers (4,715 yards, 1965-68).
