Freshman Aniqah Gaffoor won the first three collegiate races of her collegiate career this past weekend for the Pioneers. On Friday night, Gaffoor earned her first victory in the 200 Yard IM, touching the wall in 2:24.68. Without skipping a beat, she was up in the next event, the 200 Yard Butterfly. The freshman easily won that event by over ten seconds with a time of 2:28:59. Gaffoor’s top finishes helped the Pios’ Women’s Swimming team earn their first dual win swimming meet since April 2021.Â
Saturday afternoon Gaffoor won her third event of the weekend. She earned the victory in her specialty, the 100 Yard Butterfly, with a time of 1:02:01.Â
