Sophomore Riley Buese earned her first career trip to Nationals after finishing 14th place on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Regional Championship in Spokane Valley, Washington. She moved between the 12th and 15th spots throughout the course. She crossed the line in 22:19.40-an improvement of almost 45 seconds from her 20th place season during her freshman campaign. Buese currently sits sixth in program history for the fastest 6K time (21:41.5) and has run sub 22:20 in all four of her 6K races this year. She is the first Pioneer women's runner to compete at Nationals since 2013. This is only the second time in program history that a runner from the men's and women's teams will be racing at the NCAA Division III Championship Meet.
