Joey Lyon went 4-0 over the weekend at number two singles and doubles. The sophomore won all four of his sets in singles and teamed up with fellow sophomore Noah Sutin to win 12 of their 17 games in doubles. He started the weekend by earning a 6-4 win in doubles against Linfield. Lyon added on a 6-4, 6-2 single win against the Wildcats to help men’s tennis move to 4-0 in conference play. He earned the team’s only two wins on Saturday against reigning Northwest Conference Champions George Fox University. Sutin and Lyon combined for a dominant 6-1 win at number two doubles. In singles action, Lyon dispatched Zach Moore 6-3, 6-3 to improve to a team-best 8-0 in conference matches.
