Sophomore Emily Newton scored 14 points with five rebounds and a steal in two games against co-Northwest Conference leaders Pacific and Willamette. Newton notched a career-high 10 points against Pacific on Saturday night. She was 2-3 from long range and 4-6 from the free throw line to notch her career best. Newton was a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe on Monday night against Willamette to finish with four points and two rebounds against the Bearcats. She leads the team with a 73.1% free throw percentage this season.
