2007 NCAA III Cross Country West Region Championships
Amanda Phillips and Tamma Carleton punched their tickets to the NCAA III National Cross Country Championships with their finishes at the West Regional on Saturday. David Berman earned All-Region honors on the men's side.

Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships
The Pioneer women's cross country team finished third at the Northwest Conference Championship Saturday morning. Amanda Phillips finished third overall in school-record time. Tamma Carleton finished seventh. The men's team placed seventh.

The Pioneer cross country teams hosted the Pioneer Open Saturday at McIver State Park in Estacada. Amanda Phillips finished second, Tamma Carleton sixth, and Pioneer alum Carla McHattie seventh.

Phillips Wins Fourth XC Race of Season
Amanda Phillips won her fourth race of the season with a victory Saturday morning at the Pacific Lutheran Open in Tacoma.

Cross Country at Charles Bowles Invitational
Amanda Phillips placed fourth and Tamma Carleton 13th at the Charles Bowles Invitational, hosted by Willamette University Saturday morning at Bush Pasture Park. The men had two runners finish in the top of the race.

Cross Country at Bear Fete Invitational
Amanda Phillips earned her third victory of the season in her third race of the season, winning the Wes Cook Bear Fete Invitational at Willamette River Park Saturday afternoon. Tamma Carleton finished second, helping to lead the women's team to a second place finish. Freshman Richie LeDonne was the top finisher for the Pioneer men.

Amanda Phillips made it two in a row when she was the top finisher in the women's 6k at McIver Park Saturday. The Pioneers' Tamma Carleton finished second.

Western Oregon Invitational
Amanda Phillips and Tamma Carleton finished one-two at the season-opening Western Oregon Invitational in Monmouth, Ore. Friday evening. It was the first ever Collegiate cross country race victory for Phillips. The men had four runners finish in the top half.

Incoming Pioneer Cross Country Runners
The Lewis & Clark College Department of PE & Athletics is preparing to welcome in a class of talented first-year student athletes. With more students committing to Pioneer athletics every day, the Pioneers already have 102 recruited student-athletes who have paid deposits to attend the school in the fall. Keith Woodard Promoted to Head Cross Country Coach
Lewis & Clark Sports Hall of Fame member Keith Woodard has been named the new Pioneer Head Cross Country Coach. Woodard, who has been an assistant coach for cross country and track and field since 2002, will take on the head coaching assignment for the 2007 cross country season allowing David Fix to focus on the track and field team and other duties.
