Coach Jepsen joined the L&C staff after spending 24 years at Pasadena City College as both a coach and instructor. She came to Palatine Hill with an impressive 347 victories and a .644 win percentage. While at Pasadena, she led the Lancers to a 3rd-place finish at the 1995 California State Championships and had 5th-place finishes in both 1987 and 1990, was twice been named California Community Colleges Women’s Sports Coach of the Year, and served as President of the California Community College Women’s Volleyball Coaches Association. Coach Jepsen has spent some time as PCC’s women’s athletics director. At PCC, she served stints as head women’s basketball coach, interim head swimming coach and as an assistant in softball.

She was inducted in 2002 to the Pasadena Community College Sports Hall of Fame. Jepsen played collegiately at Pasadena, being honored as a JC All-American. In 2008 Jepsen was inducted into the California Community College Volleyball Hall of Fame. She earned an associate degree at PCC in 1975, then moved on to the University of Southern California where she was a member of its 1976 National Championship volleyball team. She earned her B.A. from USC in 1978 in Recreation and a Masters of Arts in Education from Azuza Pacific in 1982.
