Olympian Visits Pioneer Volleyball Camp

Former Olympic volleyball player and California Beach Volleyball
Hall of Fame member Miki McFadden visited Pioneer volleyball
pre-season camp on Wednesday.
McFadden, a former setter, shared some thoughts, insights, and
suggestions with the entire team as well as focusing on her
specialty with the players vying for the starting setter job.
McFadden was a member of the 1968 US Olympic Volleyball team. She
went on to play beach volleyball, teaming with Kathy Gregory to
become the dominant women's tandem of the late 1970's. After her
playing days, McFadden went on to coach collegiate volleyball in
Southern California.
The Pioneer volleyball season start September 1 when the team heads
to Forest Grove for the two day Pacific Boxer Invitational.
