Katherine Fiedler Earns All-Conference Honors

Freshman middle blocker Katherine Fiedler (San Diego, Calif.) was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team in post-season honors announced Tuesday morning. This is the second straight year the Pioneers have had a player named to the second team with middle blocker Sara Kettler (senior, Dana Point, Calif.) earning that accolade last season.
Fielder led the Conference in blocking this season, averaging 1.29 blocks per game. She was ranked 27th among all DIII volleyball players in blocking. She ended the season with 121 total blocks. Her 50 solo blocks ranks fourth on the L&C all-time list for most in a single season. Her 71 block assists ranks second on the L&C books. As a team this season, the Pioneers posted the third-most solo blocks and second most block assists in team history. They ranked 17th in the country in team blocking, averaging 2.73 per game.
Fiedler also ranked among the Conference elite in hitting, posting the fifth-best attack percentage (.284), landing 282 kills with just 105 errors in 628 attacks. Fiedler was one of just two freshmen to earn All-NWC recognition.
