The Pioneer volleyball team closed out their season with a 30-24, 30-22, 30-21 loss to the Whitman Missionaries Saturday night in Walla Walla. Katherine Fiedler had nine kills and four blocks for the Pioneers.

Whitworth Edges Pioneers in Five in VB
The Pioneer volleyball team lost a close match in Spokane Friday night, falling 30-15, 22-30, 22-30, 30-23, 17-15 to the Whitworth Pirates. Katherine Fielder had 20 kills for the Pioneers. Cayley Rassmussen had a season-high 14 kills.

The Pioneer volleyball team celebrated senior night with a 30-22, 30-24, 23-30, 26-30, 15-10 upset victory over the Linfield Wildcats Friday night at the Pamplin Sports Center. Senior Sara Kettler had 15 kills and five blocks in the victory.

Volleyball Wins Three Matches in Indy
The Pioneer volleyball team won three of their four matches at the Rose-Hulman Tournament in Indianapolis this weekend. The Pioneers split their first two matches, defeating Greenville 23-30, 19-30, 30-25, 30-20, 15-12 before falling the Earlham 31-29, 19-30, 8-30, 30-24, 16-14 before sweeping on Saturday with a 30-27, 30-28, 30-23 victory over the host school and 30-26, 30-19, 30-18 finale victory over Dominican.

The Pioneer volleyball team dropped their home opener to the visiting Corban College Warriors 28-30, 30-22, 30-25, 30-26 Tuesday night. Katherine Fiedler led the Pioneers with 11 kills.

Boxer Kickoff Day II
The Pioneers cruised to a 30-14, 30-7, 30-17 victory over the Baruch Bearcats in the Sunday morning's first match. Kelsey Neussl's nine service aces broke her previous school record. The Pioneers wrapped up the tournament with a 30-27, 30-26, 30-24 loss to Cal State East Bay. Freshman Katherine Fiedler had a match-high 16 kills in the finale.

The Pioneer volleyball teamed dropped their two season-opening matches at the Boxer Kickoff, falling 30-14, 22-30, 34-32, 30-27 to Wisconsin Stevens-Point and 30-19, 30-27, 30-27 to Rhodes. Nicki Smith had 22 kills on the day.

Incoming Pioneer Volleyball Players
The Lewis & Clark College Department of PE & Athletics is preparing to welcome in a class of talented first-year student athletes. With more students committing to Pioneer athletics every day, the Pioneers already have 102 recruited student-athletes who have paid deposits to attend the school in the fall. Kettler Named Second Team All-NWC
