HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers had an All-Northwest Conference First-Team selection for the sixth consecutive year as senior Christine Eliazo was selected for the honor, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Overall, the Pios had three All-NWC selections with Kacey Incerpi and Natalie Kelly chosen to the second team.
Eliazo, who entered her senior season with the team's all-time record for best overall winning percentage in singles, has been ranked No. 50 in the nation throughout the spring season on her way to a 12-7 record. In NWC duals, Eliazo is 5-3.
Also a senior, Incerpi hadn't lost a spring singles match until last weekend's loss in the Pios' defeat to NWC regular-season champion, Linfield. Incerpi started the year 11-0 including a three-set win over Andrea Gu of then-No. 29 Whitman in March. Incerpi's only losses this year have come against Linfield's Michelle Uyeda, who was selected NWC Freshman of the Year.
Combined, Incerpi and Eliazo ascended to the No. 8 doubles pair in the West Region. The pair has a 10-3 overall record and a 6-2 mark in NWC duals.
Kelly is 8-3 in singles including a 4-2 mark in the team's No. 3 position while going 9-4 in doubles matches. In her six wins this spring, Kelly has not lost more than three games in a single set but once.
Lewis & Clark has had at least three All-NWC selections every season since 2014. The team is in their seventh under head coach Patrick Dreves, a two-time West Region Coach of the Year. The Pioneers will compete at this weekend's NWC Championship tournament, opening up against Whitman in the semifinals on Saturday in McMinnville, Ore. The Blues are ranked 32nd in the latest Oracle/ITA Division III Women's National Team Rankings.
