Lewis & Clark moves to 10 wins with victory over Boxers

FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers picked up their 10th win on the season with a 9-0 sweep of the Pacific Boxers on Saturday at the Holce Tennis Courts.

Kacey Incerpi continued her undefeated spring with a 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Sophia Nishimura in the No. 2 singles match of the day. Riley Hanks picked up straight-sets victory without yielding a game in sixth position over Callie Oyama.

The No. 2 and 3 doubles teams were dominant for the Pioneers. Glenna Gee-Taylor and Natalie Kelly combined for an 8-1 win over Sophia Nishimura and Johanna Wilson in the second position, while Madelyn Landerfelt and Hanks combined for an 8-0 win over Megan Meatte and  Taylor Smallwood. Kelly and Gee-Taylor are 4-0 in doubles this season.

After teaming with Incerpi for an 8-4 win against Chantelle Baclay and Marissa Hayashi in the top doubles match, Christine Eliazo won the No. 1 singles pairing, 7-5, 7-5, over Baclay. Tash Hood was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at No. 4 over Wilson, while Landerfelt ticked up to 9-5 in her freshman season with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Meatte in fifth position.

The Pioneers (10-3, 6-1 NWC) host Linfield, the NWC's top team, for a Senior Day match on Sunday at L&C Tennis Dome.
