INDIANAPOLIS -- Lewis & Clark's Wiktoria Plawska was selected as an at-large singles entrant into the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, the NCAA office announced on Wednesday.
Plawska competed in last year's team portion of the NCAA Championships, as Lewis & Clark received the Northwest Conference's automatic bid to the event after winning the NWC Championship tournament. Last fall, Plawska also competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Oracle Cup after winning the singles title at the ITA Regional Championships.
The 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships will be held at the Champions Tennis Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. May 25-27.
Plawska earned ITA All-America honors for winning the ITA Regional Championships and is ranked 13th in the ITA national rankings. In the spring season, she finished with a 15-5 overall singles record and a 7-4 mark in the NWC. She played primarily as the team's No.1 singles entrant, finishing 9-5.
This is the third straight year Lewis & Clark has had an individual qualify for the field. Summer Garrison was selected for the 2015 and 2016 NCAA Championships.
