Women's Soccer Falls to Whitman 4-0 On the Road

WALLA WALLA, Wash.- The Lewis & Clark women's soccer team fell to the Whitman Missionaries on Saturday afternoon, 4-0, in a Northwest Conference road game. The Pioneers fall to 2-13-2 on the season and 1-11-1 in conference play. The Missionaires improve to 7-9-2 overall and 5-7-2 in the NWC.

Jaclyn Rudd scored a hat trick for the Missionaires, the first two goals assisted by Amy Hasson. The goals were Rudd's first on the season. Whitman's fourth and final goal was scored by MacKenzie Hughes in the 62nd minute, earning the Missionaries their 4-0 win.

The Pioneers were unable to send the ball into the net despite attempts from Raquel McNeff, Emilia Emmetti and Austyn Byassee.

Natalie Levy and Geena Fong also took shots for Lewis & Clark but were unable to get them past the Whitman keeper. Defensively Pioneer keeper Elise Delgado earned four saves for Lewis & Clark.

Women's soccer is back on the road, Sunday Oct. 30 when they head to Spokane, Wash. to face off the Whitworth Pirates at 12 p.m.
