Women's Basketball Volunteers at Oaks Bottom
On Saturday, October 20, twelve players and four coaches from the Pioneer Women's Basketball Team volunteered at the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge, helping a crew from Portland Parks and Rec to transplant native grasses as part of a frog pond revitalization project.
This was the second year that the team has helped out at the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge and the fourth year that the team has volunteered their time, and muscles, to a neighboring park project. Despite the wet conditions, the team really enjoyed their time digging and planting in the park.
