Both Lewis & Clark entrants raced in the 400-meter dash. King finished her heat in fifth place with a time of 1:00.99, just over two seconds back of San Francisco State's Vanessa Koontz. Godbout, who is a first-year competitor for the Pios, was fourth in her heat. She finished in 1:01.57, over a half-second faster than Eastern Washington's Janessa Day.
The Pios have three more indoor events and the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships remaining on the schedule. The next competition is the Cougar Indoor, hosted by Washington State, on Feb. 3-4.
