Track & Field Competes at Willamette Invitational

SALEM, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark track & field team took a select few athletes to the Willamette Invitational on Saturday afternoon in the teams final meet of Spring Break. 

Blake Slattengren ended the 5000m just three seconds behind the top conference finisher, concluding the race in 15:51.76.

Kodie Artner took home fifth place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15:37, which the sophomore followed up with a third place finish in the 400m hurdles. Artner ended the race in 54.46.

Deion Mock had an solid performance in the pole vault with a second place finish with a height of 13-10.50. Bjorn Hansen concluded the event in fourth place with a height of 13-4.50.

Freshman Christen Cromer earned a third place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 42-8.25.

Katie Kowal ended the 100m dash in seventh place in a time of 12.96, while junior Jeanie Mullins ended the race in 13.31. Kowal also competed in the 200m dash, where she finished in 26.80.

Susan Heinselman took home eighth place in the 5000m, ending the race in 18:50.85. Teammate Teresa Stackhouse ended the event in 19:13.19.

Alexi Shean ended the high jump with a height of 4-10.50, while Mullins finished the triple jump with a distance of 35-1.25. Brigitte Russo threw 36-3 in the shot put.
