Phillips Sets Another School Record
Amanda Phillips broke the Lewis & Clark record in the 5000m Saturday at the Western Oregon Twilight meet in Monmouth, Ore. Phillips ran a provisional qualifying time of 17:33.11 at the event.

Gilbride Throws Season-Best at Pacific Twilight
Roxanne Gilbride improved on her provisional qualifying mark in the javelin at the Pacific Twilight Friday morning. Her mark of 136-9 moves her up the list and should solidify her a spot at this year's National Championships. Amanda Phillips also competed, running in the 5000m.

Roxanne Gilbride NWC Javelin Champion
Roxanne Gilbride became the 2008 Northwest Conference Javelin Champion at the NWC Track & Field Championships. Amanda Phillips was fourth in the 5000m. Cheyenne Feliz was fifth in the 400m.

Lewis & Clark Invitational Track Meet
The Pioneers hosted the Lewis & Clark Invitational Track Meet Saturday, April 12, at the Eldon Fix Track. Cheyenne Feliz was the top NWC finisher in the 200m. Leif Bullock was the top NWC finisher in the 1500m.

Track: Shotwell Invitational
The Pioneer track & field teams competed at the Shotwell Invitational, hosted by the University of Puget Sound, Saturday in Tacoma. Amanda Phillips won the 5000m run.

Friday Track: Charles Bowles Invitational
The Pioneer track and field teams competed Friday at the Charles Bowles Invitational at Willamette University in Salem. Cheyenne Feliz won the 400m run and was second in the 200m. Hannah Hultine set a school record in the steeplechase.

Track: Frank Haskins Invitational
The Pioneer track and field teams were in Newberg on Saturday, participating in the Frank Haskins Invitational. The Pioneers won three events in the meet.

Pacific Four-Way Track Meet
The Pioneer men's track team finished second and the women third at Friday's Pacific Four-Way in Forest Grove. Sprinters Cheyene Feliz and Joevonte Mayes each had victories for the Pioneer track teams. Roxanne Gilbride earned another victory in the javelin.

Track & Field in Tacoma Saturday
The Pioneer track teams competed in a dual meet against the Puget Sound Loggers Saturday in Tacoma. Daniel McDuff and Amanda Phillips each won the 800m races.

Track & Field Opens Season at Home on Saturday
The Pioneer women took second place while the Pioneer men placed third in the track & field season opener, The Pioneer Open, held at the Eldon Fix Track on Saturday afternoon. Amanda Phillips and Joevonte Mayes had victories for the Pioneers.

Amanda Phillips, running against DI competition, placed 13th in the 5000m at the UW Indoor Invitational at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle Friday night.

Incoming Pioneer Track & Field Athletes
The Lewis & Clark College Department of PE & Athletics is preparing to welcome in a class of talented first-year student athletes. With more students committing to Pioneer athletics every day, the Pioneers already have 102 recruited student-athletes who have paid deposits to attend the school in the fall. Pioneers USTFCCCA Academic Team
The Pioneer women's track & field team was named a US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association All-Academic team. The team carried a collective 3.326 GPA. Two individuals, Tamma Carleton and Roxanne Gilbride, were named to the NCAA III Women's All-Academic Track & Field Team.

Carleton Academic All-District
Tamma Carleton became the third Pioneer of the 2006-07 season to earn ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VIII honors when the track and field/ cross country honors were released on Thursday. The award honors students for a combination of athletic and academic achievement.

Phillips Finishes 12th at Nationals
Amanda Phillips finished in 12th place Saturday in the finals of the 1500m race at the NCAA III National Championships, held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Phillips posted a time of 4:43.88, shedding four seconds off her preliminary time.
