The Pioneer women's team closed out the regular season with a 6-3 victory at Whitman Saturday afternoon. Amalia Nilsson finished the regular season with a perfect 16-0 record in Conference singles. The men fell 9-0 against Whitman in the Tennis Dome.

The Pioneer men's and women's tennis teams both fell 5-4 to the Willamette Bearcats with the men playing at home and the women in Salem. Amalia Nilsson continued her unbeaten streak at #1 singles. Allen and Frouws earned a victory at #1 doubles.

The Pioneers women fell 6-3 at home to the top-ranked Linfield Wildcats. The men lost 9-0 at Linfield. Amalia Nilsson stayed perfect in NWC singles. Lisa Harunaga came back from down a set to win at #2.

Men's Tennis in Southern Cal
The Pioneer men's tennis team heads to the East valleys of Los Angeles for three matches over Spring Break. On Sunday, the Pioneers defeated Cal Tech 6-3. Monday, the Pioneers fell 7-2 to Occidental. The Pioneers wrapped up the trip with a 5-4 loss at La Verne on Tuesday.

Incoming Pioneer Tennis Players
The Lewis & Clark College Department of PE & Athletics is preparing to welcome in a class of talented first-year student athletes. With more students committing to Lewis & Clark every day, the Pioneers already have 102 recruited student-athletes who have paid deposits to attend the school in the fall. This is over a 100% increase above the number of new student-athletes that arrived on Palatine Hill last fall. Tennis Coach at US Open Conference
Pioneer Head Tennis Coach Gundars Tilmanis will be one of the featured presenters at this years USTA Tennis Teachers Conference, held in New York City August 25-28 in conjunction with the US Open. Other featured speakers confirmed for this year's convention include Martina Navratilova, Tom Gullikson, and Wayne Bryan.
