Softball Celebrates Senior Day in Season Finale
The Lewis & Clark softball team honored graduating seniors Molly Donahue, Paige McFeeley, Jamie Moon and Michaela Satter prior to the start of game one of its double-header against George Fox. The Bruins defeated the Pioneers 9-2 in game one.

Offensive Explosion Not Enough to Lift Softball Past Whitworth
The Lewis & Clark softball team combined for 19 runs on 26 hits against the Whitworth Pirates on Monday afternoon in a Northwest Conference make-up series. Despite the offensive explosion, the Pirates came out victorious with a 14-12 win in game one and 12-7 victory in the second game of the double-header.

Softball Can't Hold of Pacific Lutheran in Conference Double-Header
The Lewis & Clark softball team dropped two games to the Pacific Lutheran Lutes on Sunday afternoon at the Huston Sports Complex. The wins give the Lutes a four game sweep of the Pioneers after playing earlier in the season. On Sunday, the Lutes earned a 9-0 win in the first game, before winning 13-2 in the night cap.

The Lewis & Clark softball team could not hold off the Puget Sound Loggers on Saturday afternoon in Northwest Conference action. The Loggers picked up a 9-0 win after six innings in the first game, before taking the second game 11-2 after five innings of play.

The Lewis & Clark softball team faced off with a tough opponent on Thursday afternoon, taking on Northwest Conference leader and national No. 1 Linfield College. The conference double-header was played on the Pioneers field due to poor field conditions at Linfield.

Sophomore pitcher Natalie Rose earned her third complete game victory on Saturday afternoon, guiding the Lewis & Clark softball team over Pacific in game one of a Northwest Conference double-header. The Pioneers earned a 4-2 victory in game one, before falling to the Boxers 10-1 in game two.

Four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning propelled the Lewis & Clark softball team past Hastings, 4-3, in the Pioneers final game of the Tucson tournament. The Pioneers end their time in Tucson with four wins and just one loss.

The Lewis & Clark softball team earned an exciting 6-5 victory over Carleton on day two of the spring break tournament in Tucson on Tuesday afternoon. Earlier in the day the Pioneers fell to Otterbein 11-3.

Spring Break got off to a great start for the Lewis & Clark softball team as the Pioneers picked up two wins. The Pioneers took down St. Catherine 15-0 after five innings in their first game of the day and followed it up with a 9-1 win over Calvin in six innings.

The Lewis & Clark softball team has moved its double-header against the Linfield Wildcats on Sunday, March 6 at 12 p.m. to Rosemont Middle School. The game will still begin at noon. The men's golf team was scheduled to play in the Willamette Invitational last weekend, but the tournament was postponed due to weather.

Softball Team Serves Up ‘Potluck in the Park’
On Sunday, January 23, 2011 the Pioneer softball team spent the day working as volunteers with the Portland non-profit organization, Potluck in the Park. Potluck has been serving a free hot meal to anyone in need since 1991. Rain or shine, 52 weeks a year, Potluck provides a hot meal, every Sunday, at O’Bryant Square in downtown Portland.
