Carlton Named Assistant Rowing Coach at the University of Minnesota
Former Lewis & Clark women's crew member Becca Carlton was recently named to the University of Minnesota rowing staff by head rowing coach Wendy Davis. Carlton, who was a graduate assistant for the Gophers last year, will become an assistant coach starting July 1st and will assist with the varsity program. Wendy Wisehart, who is also an assistant coach, will be elevated to the novice coach, replacing John Flynn.

Men's Novice 4 Finishes Second; Women's Varsity Pair Wins Event
Men's and Women's crew concluded their 2009 season at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships hosted by UC Davis on May 3. The men's novice 4 finished the championships in second place, while the women's varsity pair became the first women's team at Lewis & Clark to win their event. The championships also marked the first time that the Pioneers have had two teams medal at the WIRA.
