Charlie Brown Regatta
The Pioneer crew teams will hosted a home regatta Saturday. The annual Charlie Brown Regatta took place along the Willamette River with the finish line just beyond the Sellwood Bridge.
The novice men's 8 and novice women's four won their races, with the women's varsity 8 and womens varsity 4 both finishing third.
"Given the short fall season we're happy with those results," said Head Coach Sam Taylor. "Our men's pair and novice men's 4 both finished 2nd after recording the fastest time; both cut buoys, however, and received one minute penalties.'
The Pioneer crew teams compete again on Sunday, October 26, when they head back out onto the Willamette to race at the Portland Fall Classic.
