Greg Fredericks Announces His Retirement

PORTLAND, Ore. – Longtime Lewis & Clark faculty athletics representative Greg Fredericks has announced his retirement, after serving as one of the Pioneers FAR’s for 15 years. While serving as the Pioneer's FAR, Fredericks is also a well-respected Mathematics professor at Lewis & Clark, teaching for 28 years.

As the Pios FAR, Fredericks has been responsible for being the faculty voice that ensures that there is a successful balance between academics and athletics for the benefit of the student-athlete. Fredericks has worked to help the Pioneers maintain their academic integrity, while making sure that all the Pio student-athletes well-being is being met.

The Pioneer family wishes Greg and his family all the best in the future, as he will be truly missed.

"Over the past 15 years Greg's service as Faculty Athletics Representative has been invaluable to the development of our students-athletes, staff and the Northwest Conference. His dedication to our athletics department and his support of our student-athletes in the classroom and on the fields and courts has been unparalleled and greatly appreciated over the years. We know that Greg will remain a loyal Pioneer in his retirement and that we will continue to see him at athletics events cheering on the Orange and Black."
