Football Season Finale
The Pioneer football team closed out the 2007 season with a 66-0 loss to the Linfield Wildcats. Ryan Lockard, in his final game as a Pioneer, had 11 tackles to lead the team.

Football Loses on Senior Day
The Pioneer football team lost 77-17 to the Willamette Bearcats Saturday afternoon at Fred Wilson Field. James Connelly had a 79-yard touchdown reception for the Pioneers and 140 total receiving yards for the day. Photos from the senior day ceremony are also now available online.

UPS Tops Pioneer Football on Homecoming, 69-31
The Pioneer football team lost its homecoming game to the Puget Sound Loggers 69-31 Saturday afternoon at Fred Wilson Field. Joevonte Mayes rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

Football: #25 Whitworth Hands Pioneers a 48-7 Loss
The #25 Whitworth Pirates defeated the Pioneers 48-7 Saturday afternoon at Fred Wilson Field. Wide receiver Mike Wennerlind had a 31-yard touchdown reception for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers fell 51-14 to the Menlo Oaks in Atherton Saturday afternoon. Joevonte Mayes had a 64-yard touchdown run. Chance Martinez had his first collegiate touchdown, a 66-yard reception.

The Pioneers fell 57-27 to the University of Chicago Maroons Saturday in Illinois. Joevonte Mayes had a 70-yards touchdown reception and Ryan Kostecka had two touchdown receptions for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers fell 36-6 to the Pomona Sagehens in Claremont, Calif. Saturday afternoon. Andrew Foote had two field goals for the Pioneers.

Football Opener vs Occidental
The Pioneers dropped their season opener to the Occidental Tigers 52-0 Saturday afternoon at Fred Wilson Field. Joevonte Mays had 179 all-purpose yards in his Pioneer debut. Kevin Takeno led the game with 16 tackles.

2007 Football Season Preview
The Pioneer football team continues the rebuilding process. Twenty-four new players will be at Fred Wilson Field on Sunday, August 19, when practice for the 2007 season begins. The new faces will be added to a strong core of key returning players. The Pioneers return their top defensive player, their top-scorer, and their offensive leader from the 2006 campaign.

Incoming Football Recruits
The Lewis & Clark College Department of PE & Athletics is preparing to welcome in a class of talented first-year student athletes. With more students committing to Pioneer athletics every day, the Pioneers already have 102 recruited student-athletes who have paid deposits to attend the school in the fall. This is over a 100% increase above the number of new student-athletes that arrived on Palatine Hill last fall. Click on the above link to read more about the incoming football players.
