Amanda Phillips (senior, Phoenix, Ore.) was named an NCAA III All-American in Cross Country after her 19th-place finish at the National Championships last weekend in Minnesota. Phillips is the first ever female cross country All-American from Lewis & Clark College and had the highest finish of any Pioneer at the XC nationals since Chris Miller's 9th place finish at the 1965 NAIA National Championships in Omaha, Nebraska. This was Phillips second trip to the National Cross Country Championships. She moved up 77 places this season after finishing 96th last year.
